When you are discussing the anatomy you use a nude model to so you can see what you are talking about. If you are discussing the sternum and the thorax and the the various muscles and such you can point out the important landmarks for an artist to identify in their drawing that are missed by people that don't know the anatomy and helps someone to draw or sculpt something that is more professional. In artistic anatomy you always use a nude model to reference.

Hmm, he is talking about proportion of face and she is standing there for 10 mins naked... Could have given her at least a towel or something...

I must say it is depressing to hear how juvenile some people are about naked bodies. For God's sake, can you not understand that this man is a sculptor and he is talking about the relationships of bodily measurements to teach other artists. If you are so immature that you cannot handle any nudity go somewhere else where your prurient interests will be more satisfied. A female nude or any nude is an important aspect of learning how to paint or sculpt...it is not sexual. Duh.
Judging by the ridiculous comments on here I am guessing most of you aren't artists. I am guessing the reason the model is nude is that this is a portion of a video that continues on to discuss the rest of the anatomy and proportion.
