@MichishigeShigehito I don't believe so. It's, in fact, truly the opposite. Sure, it explores the darker side of humanity, but it's more about the power to fight fate and to love. To never give up, to trust your friends, and to all around be a better person. It's about retribution and forgiveness. We all harbor the potential for evil, but that's why a human should forgive and love.

The greatest part about this anime is that it teaches you the most important part in life, is to believe in yourself to do incredible things, like change the most horrible fate into the happiest ending possible. i find this anime to be like an edgar allan poe novel... it reflects opon the darker parts of the human mind and society. showing that even the brightest individuals have the potential to do dispicable thing. showing that not everyone is who they say they are. it is the biggest mind fuck of all time.... but i still love it :3
