I am not a moron, but a mom of a small boy who keeps asking me why people call what he has a Disease when he doesn't feel diseased!! Slip of the tongue? maybe.. but enough is enough.. People need to be educated about autism, period.

So people are condemning her for misusing a word instead of celebrating that she continuous to be an avid supporter for the cause? Doesn't make sense. Go Sarah!

Get informed Silverman!!! Autism is NOT A DISEASE!!!!! If you are going to stand up and do a benefit to raise awareness the least you can do is get your facts right and not spread more ignorance!!!

Jesus christ you morons, I'm sure she knows it's a disorder and not a disease, she just accidentally misused the word. As if something like that never happened to you before. You're acting as if the whole world is going to be misinformed about Autism now. I'm not too big on Sarah Silverman myself, but she is one of the few celebrities that actually gives a shit and is not just trying to sell an image of this caring, big-hearted activist like most phonies out there do.

Sarah Silverman is awesome, I think she is funny, I love her TV show, I thought her reaction to the "too many stars" was actually funny because it drew a slight parallel to how an ND might react. I have asperger's syndrome, Sarah Silverman makes me piss myself she is so funny! ROCK ON!!
