Dirty Secret - Peter/Haley/Chuck

Dedicated to Ashley (karmicpayback). She's an awesome person and a really great friend and this is for you hun :) I added a lot of Chuck in the end, since pretty much all my Heroes clips are gone. Hope you like it.

Story, AU: Peter and Haley is in a relationship, a rocky one. They love each other but can't seem to make it work. After one fight Haley leaves Peter to go away for a few days. During this time though, there is a gasleak in their house and it blows up, with Peter in it. Peter sister, Serena, calls Haley with the horrible news and Haley breaks down. At the funeral Peter best friend Chuck shows up all wasted and in deep grief, while his two friends tries to clean him up.
Months goes by as Haley can't seem to get out of her sorrows, though one day, visited by her sister she decides to do something about it.
She meets Chuck out on one of his clubs and tries to talk to him, but he refuses. A confused and hurt Haley leaves him for the moment. Chuck goes up to the roof and drink away his sorrow and guilt over his friends death. Haley calls him on it and tries to cheer him up, but ends up giving him comfort. Making him realize they are two in this.
Flashbacks; we get to understand that Chuck had had deep feelings for Haley a long time, even when Peter was alive, which is part of why he feels so guilty.
Chuck comes by at Haleys only to find her on the floor crying. Not knowing what to do he just stands there, watching her, while she tries to clean up the mess.
Haley rereads one of all the letters Peter had wrote for her while he lived, in the same time so Chuck decides to burn a letter where he had written down his feelings for Haley. He decides she can never know. Only to end up at her place later on that night all messed up. Haley takes him in and let him stay for the night. The next day though, he is gone and all that's left is a note telling Haley she's better off without him.
Some days later Haley drives by as Chuck and Nate gets ready for a game. She watches them from afar, but then drives away, leaving him behind.
