@KiprosPAO Hitler's religion (or lack of) is too questionable to say he was a believer or non-believer. Stalin and Pol Pot forced Atheism upon their people to control them, much like religious leaders have done in the past. They can both be used as tools of propaganda, but atheists still have better morals because they don't take them from the book, and they don't behave out of fear of punishment in fire, and they don't expect to get rewarded when they die.

@SmervinMervin24 I mostly agree with you. Though, I cannot imagine how can atheistic belief (or disbelief to be precise) be used to manipulate people?

I think the reason for trying to push atheism was to get rid of the strongest existing opposition - organised religion, which was already manipulating people in the first place.

I'm not between either atheists and religious people, I'm above them.. why you ask? because everything in this universe has a creator, so why can\t the universe have a creator?

@StayGoldDallybear Is the "creator" part of "everything", apparently is. Then he needs to have a creator himself. This however leads to infinite regress..

@prosandkhans Atheists, agnostics and deists are intellectual allies who pretty much agree on eveything up to 4.5 billion years ago. We should all be classified as non-theists. Deism only has one component of religion. It should not count as one. I am sick to death of theists (especially Muslims, Christians & Catholics) taking credit for the accomplishments of deists.

@yancur Exactly! And if they're not being manipulated by religion, they're damn sure to be manipulated by a man (through the use of propaganda) that appears god-like.

Right, Jesus (peace be upon him) would not be a Christian, Mr. Twain, because he has always been a man who was a practising Jew from the Israelite tribe of Judah. And has never invited Gentiles to be Jews.

@KiprosPAO -Hitler was a Roman Catholic,while the others presented themselves as the head of their own churches.Stalinism was a religion unto itself.Thomas Jefferson is also another famous deist.

@incomprehensible14 Truer words couldn't have been spoken. Atheists, Deists and Agnostics (As Well as Ignostics and Pandeists) are, in the end, different forms of Irreligion. Another thing I like about these groups is that we follow no particular code, we make our OWN codes! Thus, we have risen above the flock (Theists) and, in a way, became "Ze Übermensch"!

Then again, there are a few Non-Theistic religions too: Buhddism, Jainism and (La-Veyan) Satanism, for example...
