http://www.ohdratdigital.com The Alesis iO Dock tries to give you all the IO that you could wish for on the iPad or iPad 2 - how does it fare?

Note: Since the review we've noticed reports of sticking notes when using MIDI input. We did get a couple of notes that hung when we first used the unit, but none since over hours of playing, so we didn't mention it. Let us know whether you have issues...

  • I thought this was review. it was just a feature overview.

  • @rsturner2002 Thanks for your thoughts - what would you like to hear? We attempted to cover the unit's capabilities, what we liked about it and where we thought it fell short in an easy to digest video. What would you like more of?

  • Hello, nice review. I am curious if you have any advice for tempo syncing Korg apps with Ableton? Specifically iElectribe and Kaosolator.

  • hanging notes issue fixed after 1.07 firmware(io dock), now hiss issues for ipad 1st generation users have plagued alesis forums. do not take my word for it, go a check by yourself. iodock 1.07 with ios 5.01 works great now in garage band(most of the time) for recording and playing.
