  • 's purpose is "doing for people what they cannot do for themselves". Since the government is MADE of people, that's damn little. :) Moreso since you can't truly delegate a power (a Right) to the government that you didn't have in the first place (like the justification to initiate violence.) Once those are out of the way, just eliminate what the government does that it shouldn't. Targeting some drugs, and public education that's always worse than private anyways. (pay for it out of tax savings)

    To the point: My take on Ron Paul is that he has a simple platform: If a law has the power to remove or damage the rights of anyone, he votes no. (He's voted no on pretty much everything, but at least he's sticking to his principles. If more did, there'd be less pork-riders on bills which might otherwise be good.) Also, he truly believes that the government
