Lake Huron & Superior often experience gale force winds in November, known as the witch of November. These winds ocurr as the transition from fall to winter is made. Often these storms develop quickly, many ships and lives have been lost during these storms.

  • @GulfTangoSierra00000 What you don't know is that the storm filmed here was not nearly as bad as they can get. Those are some pretty awesome waves, but keep in mind that you are viewing them from the shore. If you are out in the middle of the lake, it can get extremely rough. Also, since the Great Lakes are much more shallow than the ocean, the waves aren't necessarily bigger, but they are choppier and it is harder to control a boat in those kind of waves.

  • @72se Hey thanks for your genuine nice comments. It was a day I enjoyed sitting an chatting with my Grandmother of 93, she passed away the following year.. It was the last time we got to set together... on a beach we had spent many summers... Cheers.

  • Thanks for wasting people's time with a bs video.

You think those are storm waves? you don't know SHIT about waves!

  • Where is this at?....From Port Huron?

  • Thank you Pam, for aquainting me with the many charms and history of the area. I'll probably never leave my beloved coastal MA, but I'd love a nice long, vacation!

  • I miss and love Michigan. I grew up in the Detroit area (Madison Hts.) but visited Alpena every summer since I was born. I have family there. My grandma lives on a private beach just north of Thunder Bay.

  • Fantastic
