This is the most impressive clip I've seen of DGatton. What a plethora of ideas he had! and what an outstanding player. I'm not sold on the joe barden pickup sound. I think I prefer the traditional fender tele pickup sound. Obviously he could make any pickup sound great.
When I see, hear or just think of Danny it's almost as if there are no other guitar players. I know that sounds unfair to all the other great players, but for me, every note, chord voicing, tone, pattern, etc., that Danny played was exactly what I hungered for. He was in a league of his own. It is a shame he was not more well known and so sad he's gone; understatements, perhaps. But look how alive he is through the legacy of music he left us. I love the postings from all you nice people.
ffairlane57 probably; its funny I always mispell words talking about Danny Gatton; the power of the man. I feel so bad and I didn't even know him but he always seemed so funnny, intelligent, unfazed by his talent on the dvds which is REALLY hard to believe. If any of us were half as good as Gatton i would think it would be hard to not show it!!!
