Yes, can be boring....but this is no Hollywood bullshit script like Jaws.
I've asked a number of my friends who work with Queensland Parks % Wildlife and asked them is this movie premise bullshit...and they've all said no.
It's frightening because it's 100% plausible.

This one's like "Open Water" on a tree, not quite as bad and with an crocodile instead of a shark. But it bored the crap out of me too...
