  • I put this song on my son's computer. One day he discovered it and asked me about it. The song struck a cord for him and I was glad to see that we have the same appreciation for good music...no matter the era !!! It he is now one of our favorites. Don MClean is the greatest....but hey Don, ....we want more !!!!

  • His small heart uploaded it...

  • I just listened to his live performance of this song on his Solo album. I think I love that version more because it's just Don and his guitar. So beautiful! And so is this!

  • What a beautiful song! Listening to it makes me feel like I'm "on the sunny sailing ship to where the shells lie in the sand" or I'm up in the clouds. Don is truly a genius and we're the chosen few who know this that's why he wrote songs like this for us. Thank you, Don, so much and thank you so much, too, northsorrow!

  • So grateful for this: haven't heard it since about 1985! An algerian guitarist named Said Doumanji used to play this in his set around Exeter - sometimes as support to the Higher Hoopern Hillbillies! - and although he played many Don McLean numbers I hadn't realised who had sung it originally and had never been able to trace it. Thanks for the very happy memories.

  • Classic Don Mclean. Thank you!
