@eddiehatred If you're saying we have to err on the side of giving fetuses rights because there's no consensus, I disagree. It comes down to a choice between whether to value the rights of the fetus or the rights of the pregnant woman more. Since there is no argument whatsoever that the woman is a person, we must err on the side of protecting her rights to make her own decisions.

@eddiehatred Now there's a pot calling the kettle black. The only way pro-life could be nonemotional would be if making more babies were somehow the most viable solution for survival, which it is not. On other a further note, what I said wasn't emotional at all. Were it based on emotion it would probably sound more like "You can't force women to have children, that's just wrong! etc. etc."

Oh, and way to dodge the arguments in my first comment in lack of an adequate response.

@Semirhage666 I have also explained this several hindered times, but since it's an easy one, I will save you the bother of looking through my comment history. 'Personhood' is a terrible basis for your rights, because of how subjective the criteria for it is. There is no one definition of 'person', it is a matter of opinion, and since we don't want our rights to be based in something so fragile as majority opinion on the definition , the objective criteria for a homo Sapien must be used. :)
