You illustrate perfectly why I dislike the Baptist and many evangelical churches. They are about as far down the protestant chain as you can go. They are the youngest of the Protestant churches, but yet they think only their views are correct. Baptists and some evangelicals tend to be Christian elitists—either you agree with them 100%, or you are going to Hell. Baptists tend to be followers rather than thinkers. They don't study the Bible, them memorize it.

Well, now you are just talking childish nonsense.
You cannot condemn a whole group of people merely because you and a small percentage of people disagree. I think the Baptist church is grossly out of line with Biblical teachings, but I don't condemn all Baptists.
Actually, my missionary friends and my best friend in seminary would agree with me.
