never heard of this truck.
-
please start selling these cars in north america
-
@brapboys503 What I know is that the goverment hasn't updated the system. I remember a car (I think it was a nice Chevy) got 5 stars and in euroncap 2 or 3, btw Mazda=Ford :P
-
@ballader1 These Escapes have a 5-star government crash test rating in our country, and a lot of Toyotas, Hondas, Nissans, Mazdas, you name it, have fallen short at 4 stars.
-
@brapboys503 not because of that, I would never choose a car/truck/suv/crossover/anythi
ng else because it is japenese/american etc, but Fords have a cab that is weak meaning that if a crash occurs it will get depressed and give you less space to survive. Toyotas in the other hand don't have that problem. To see crash tests go to an ncap site like euroncap ancap etc. -
@ballader1 Why safer? Because it's Japanese? And not American? I'm not hating, I just want to know. Because honestly, I'd feel safer inside a '77 Oldsmobile Delta 88 than anything else. Lol, tank on wheels.
-
@brapboys503 the way I see it, we both got some points. Each truck has it's advantages and it's disadvantages, but they are both pretty good trucks, althrough I would feel safer inside a hilux, but that's just my opinion ;)
-
@ballader1 Yeah, idling around in 1st gear in a flat parking lot! xD I'm not saying the Toyota isn't economical, it just gets the same mileage (roughly) as the V6 Ford Escape 4X4 XLT and that little truck hangs with built KA's.

@brapboys503 yeah, the hilux 197 hp can get 50 mpg....

@metalnomercy1 - As I know there are three engines:
2 Diesel engines: 2,5 l / 102 HP + 3,0l / 163 HP in Argentina and 171 HP in Germany
1 Gasoline engine: 2,7 l / 160 HP in Ecuador, Brasil and others.
