  • How about "Springtime in the Rockies"...no joke.

  • @tfpp1 - Sharp ear, well done! My mom claimed to hear the opening of his "Gloria" oratorio at 1:48 and 1:59, and you could even point to his ballet "Aubade" at 2:04. Poulenc occasionally borrowed tunes from himself and others, notably Stravinsky and Ravel, but he imposed his own stylistic imprint, as did Handel with others' tunes 200 years earlier.

  • Holy crap!!! from 2:28-2:40 the chord progression is the exact same thing as Blanche's them from Dialogue of the carmelites.
