Wicca & Witchcraft : Spellcrafting

A short video about some of my opinions when it comes to spellcrafting. We each follow our own sacred path that is derived from the particular path we have chosen to follow and the morals and ethics that path may involve.

As a individuals it will always be up to us as practitioners to judge what we feel is morally and ethically right for us. I believe Spellcrafting and casting is far more complicated that indulging in a simple thought form. It is an art that takes practice dedication, groundingm intent and raising of personal power to see out desires come to fruition. It is not something that should be glamourised.

I will post further videos relating to Correspondances, days or the week, moon phases, planetary hours etc to help others further distingush what they feel resonates with them. Witches of the past did not follow the above correspondances but simply the phases of the moon and the natural rythym of the earth.

As I have definded myself as Wiccan in the past I have learnt to use these correspondances, however now I also use simplistic spontaneous methods and also incorporate elements of American folk magic into my work.

All of this should be done with a stable foundation to your practice, at least know the basics of what you are doing, those are your stepping stones. Know why you are doing what your are doing, before you go ahead and do it.

don't let the things you read, and society define you. Ignite your inner magick flame with the information, experience, and discoveries, and present that to the world.

Finally, the rituals, and the procedures, and the compass treading, and circle casting, and purifying the ritual space are all used to enhance your magic, find out what works for you and in what format/formats. When you really find the procedure you feel comfortable with, it will flow effortlessly everytime you perform spellwork, and you won't have to force yourself to make it feel smooth. After all, a spell at its simplest form is just intent+Chant+Symbolic action=manifestation of one's desire

For some witches the correspondances are very simple, a heart shaped leaf for a love spell, green clovers for wealth, river to take away troubles and purify the heart. And for some ti can be complicated, it just depends on what works for the witch, and that can even change during different stages in their practice. The best thing to do is just explore, and experiment, and try things out. Spellcraft is a craft after all, and with any craft, practice makes perfect.

It just depends, and sometimes you'll just get the urge, and you'll just intuitively know what to use with the stuff around you. It doesn't matter where you are, or what phase the moon is in, when you really feel the need, follow your intuition through, and it'll work. As for correspondances, it depends on the witch really in my opinion, the charts and diagrams are merely for reference, to make it easier to put what you feel in visual form.

I think it also depends on the magnitude of the intent you wish to manifest. If for instance, I was on a bus, and I realized that I might be late to the place I am going, or if we were in a really bad traffic jam, I would cast a spell to speed the journey, or make it more smooth and disperse the traffic jam.

I would give a lot to be able to sit down and chat with you about Witchcraft. I study theology and Witchcraft has stuck out to me. That said I can't blindly follow it. Amazing vid :D
