Edit Your Images in Apple Preview

Some quick image editing secrets that may not be common knowledge. You already know that Preview can be used to view photos and read PDFs, but did you know you can also crop images and even remove backgrounds from photos?

Use Command + K when you have an area of the image selected to crop the image

Click and drag with the Instant Alpha tool to eliminate background colors, drag further to eliminate more, drag less to remove less. Not all backgrounds may work perfectly, you may have to do it more than once to get the desired look.
