The funny thing about paintball(and this is just my opinion based on my limited experience) is that the paintball community is not near as accepting, practical, or really straight up nice to green players as the Airsoft commune is. I've never had a bad experience with airsoft, and I encourage new players to find someone you know and go out and have fun.

The prevailing argument for high caps is that a spherical ball isn't as accurate as a bullet. Combine that with twigs and bushes bullshitting your shots, you kind of need a large volume of fire.
I use midcaps almost exclusively since I play the dm role. Save for that one highcap I have just in case. Problem? Midcaps have never been as reliable, from bioshot and bioval to madbull .4s. Ive never fully trusted my midcaps.

@KaiGoesLol Highcaps are the most unrealistic things ive ever seen when it comes to airsoft. They are gay. Carry more ammo? If your that shitty that you need highcaps to get ppl out I feel bad 4 u. Also highcaps are just stupid they fucking rattle all over the place whenever you move, flanking without being noticed literaly becomes impossible.

@Sfairsoftmatrix Welcome to war tactics. You call HiCaps gay, but why? They allow you to carry more ammunition per clip, allowing for less clips and more RPM. It's smart, not "gay". Also fast movement isn't everything.
