  • awesome soli!

  • @kristikrause it's a smaller big band :) but of course not a swing-style big band. there are nine musicians with a very interesting instrumentation and a really straight-ahead arrangement.

  • Is this a small group or big band?

  • always cool and on time. I just "dig" Miles.

  • Question: How is the music layed out? Binary, Ternary or other - If otehr please list.

Statement: This wasn't written by Miles Davis - He was the the band leader - It was actaully written by the Barritone Sax player - Gerry Mulligan - He was the guy that wrote most of the Bands songs.

  • The genius and craftiness of Miles.. a master of delivery. Oh and let's not forget the soulfulness of Gerry Mulligan.

  • @saulya Top ten to go back and see? In no particular order - Davis, Oscar Peterson, Jimmy Smith, Wes Montgomery, Herb Ellis, Joe Pass, Art Tatum, Count Basie, Albert King and Hendrix/SRV - I'd do a coin toss for those two.
