Born in Russia, September 13, 1897 David Rubinoff started playing the violin at the tender age of five and performed with the Russian Army Band. Composer Victor Herbert espied young Rubinoff's talent and shipped him and his family to the United States. With the help of Rudy Vallee he got into radio and then the movies. The violinist entertained troops during the wars and performed for Presidents. In the 1930s he was a regular on the Chase and Sanborn Radio Hour. He was also an orchestra conductor and appeared on shows with Eddie Cantor and Jimmy Durante. David Rubinoff died October 6, 1986.

  • @Bigband78 Lou, thank you. It worked! Maya

  • @Masquerade03 I am sorry Lou. It was a mistake. The music was the subject.

  • @genia106 I always wondered why he didn't simply take a new name. Too much work to repost everything probably. The copyright issue is a mystery. Something gets taken down then pops up later somewhere else. I think that YT and DM have taken the choke by not testing the assumption that casual viewing of clips on their platforms can be prevented by copyright holders who are stupidly killing free advertising.

  • @Bigband78 Those SNAFUs come with the territory it seems.

  • @genia106 No,.I didn't know he is on Youtube.
