A response to user The1066AI who attempts to show how Atheism is irrational... by claiming that the concept of proving things to be true through naturalistic means is somehow a thing instead of a concept and then stating that it doesn't meet it's own requirements even though the concept is meant to prove things and effects and not idea's or concepts... yeah fun.

The worst part of this is that he doesn't provide any alternative method for defining truth nor anything that is proven to be true that does not fit into the concept he's speaking against... lovely.

  • @mderousselle Indeed, many people seem to do this unfortunately and I often find myself quoting the dictionary to show that what they're saying makes no sense.

  • I have already encountered TheA1066AI. What a delusional goof. Even resorts to changing the definitions of words.

  • @DiscoveringReligion (Cont) Anyways thanks for subscribing and if you find any more like 1066AI for me to tear into feel free to give me a heads up. I don't have many subscribers right now so it's easy for me to respond to nearly everything I get as well as what I can find on my own.

  • @DiscoveringReligion Yeah it does get a bit tiring. I just poked fun at him though showing how "confident" he was in his abilities by pointing out his rating bar is blocked. Christianity (and theism in general) may work in small communities and the political arena where only a few voices can be heard, but on a public forum rational thought tears it apart.

  • @DarkBunnyLord

Yeah, I get ya. It's amusing to see them desperately try to avoid straight forward questions though. Told him if slavery is immoral, then the Bible promotes an immoral practice. This is how he responded: "If slavery is immoral, then the philosophy of naturalism is also flawed, because if your worldview is correct, then everything we do is just because mindless and amoral nature made us that way." They just can't bring themselves to account for their beliefs. Evade, evade, evade.

  • @DiscoveringReligion Thank you, I thought he might have been a reasonable fellow at first but after trying to get it through his head that trying to disprove a theory is not the same as proving another (which I tackled in the video after this) and having him run around like a chicken with his head cut off in response made me loose that hope.

  • I enjoyed your refutation. I've been commenting on The1066AI's video and saw your response. It's mind-boggling how little theists understand about their own arguments -- straw men are littered throughout: "Atheists claim God is dead." What a load of shit. But what's worse is that they know even less about their own holy book. They claim atheists have no morals, but attempt to rationalize the practice of slavery. For them truly anything is justifiable -- religious indoctrination is SCARY.
