This is a great little catapult that uses torsion from twisted rope or string. It is more accurate to the types of catapults used in the middle ages because they didn't have rubber bands back then but they did have rope.
The rope can generate enormous force that is used to hurl a projectile.
If you are having trouble wrapping the rope or string I have a video that shows you exactly how to do it here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PRSBKm1encM

This type of catapult is more specifically called a Mangonel.

Lots more catapult stuff on my website:
www.StormTheCastle.com and a web based tutorial with complete plans, instructions and pictures for this catapult is coming soon.

  • @kaab00m11 This catapult will do it easily.

  • @kaab00m11 This should be good for your requirements, more than enough. Try any kind of string or twine you can get. Paracord works good too. Try anything.

  • can this catapult launch from 8m to 10m?
