I have been using Maya to retarget animation to a IK Skeleton bound to a mesh of Link from the game series Zelda . Maya 2011 's new Accelerated Skinning Workflow make painting weights pleasant. All animation seen in the video is from MoCap data recording from the amazing people at http://www.naturalpoint.com
i think this is the best example ive seen on youtube.

Hi - have you checked IKinema for Maya - i managed to get similar retargeting in 10mins with this plugin

@29thFallschirmjager OK.. now I know how to make skeletons and skin it to the model.. but now I have problems.. cause when I move the bones the model follows right? like the arm.. but I get problems when making frames... cause some parts of the arm gets left behind and it stretches... help please...
