R D Burman - Yeh Wada Raha - A Background Track

Here is another excellent example of Pancham's prowess of composing b/g music.

Its a love story of Rishi Kapoor and Poonam Dhillon. Unfortunately she meets an accident and has some fatal injuries to her face. Dr Shammi Kapoor does a plastic surgery and by GOD's ( and the director's) grace she gets a new face of Tina Munim.( It happens only in BOLLYWOOD)

In this particular scene, Shammi brings Tina to the party at Rishi's residence in the confidence that Rishi will recognise his lover regardless of the face change.

There are three parts of scene,

first the expectation of Tina that Rishi would recognize her,
the second when she actually gets a shock in return when he cant do so and she knows that his marriage is already arranged with someone else and
the third one when she leaves the scene in distress with Shammi trying to stop her.

An amusing use of instruments , starting from a romantic and soothing to ear guittar(first part) to that violins and cellos for that shocking effectand then a quick and distressful piano , all in the shades of original tune and thru the viewpoint of Tina.
