Vancouver Riot June 2011 Canucks Lose to Bruins Stanley Cup ( Must Watch)

Downtown Vancouver Riots sparked by the Canuck fans after the Canucks lost to the Bruins earlier today. Police shot tear Gas and hit some protesters. Cars were turned over and burned. 1 to 2 injuries have resulted due to this riot. Looting took place in the Bay, coffee shops, Bank of Montreal. Wednesday June 15th 2011. @sasprawler Again, you fail to state a specific event at all, you're just making shit up now :X. US soldiers are never sent to handle a riot, that would be considered Martial Law and contradicts the constitution. Police helicopters are used in almost every police situation, I don't see your point there. As for your math, please cite your sources, it's not hard to make up random numbers and claim them to be fact.

@calvinmonkey I already did the math, i know you have 10x our population, you guys have like 11-12x more riots than us, so that means that even if you had the same population as us, you would still have more riots, it's not that hard to figure out....learn some math will ya? we destroyed our own city? some cars burned, windows smashed and fights...we sure destroyed our city....EH? some US sports riots are actually horrific, much worse than this.

Some riots in places like LA or Texas, involve people getting shot and instead of just SWAT, US soldiers are sent in sometimes. US riots are easily 3x more violent, some riots in LA have even involved police opening fire in self defence, police helicopters are sometimes brought in too. You're completely clueless about your own country.

@sasprawler Please, do that math. You're not quite comprehending just how much bigger the US is compared to Canada.. Your population is a tenth of what ours is. Regardless, our sports riots are so minor they're rarely covered thoroughly by national news, compared to this one, where you destroyed your own city.

As for Iraq, please don't compare a sports riot to a war because they're both "bad". Or, if you want to talk about our foreign policy; I'd be glad to. Otherwise they're unrelated.

@calvinmonkey if you tally all US sports related riots in the past century and all the Canadian ones, by doing some simple ratio mathematics you can figure out that even if we had the same population, you'd still have more riots than us.

I brought up Iraq cuz you're criticizing Canada over doing something bad whereas your own country is worse (such as the civilians killed and your own sports riots)...so that you can get a view of the bigger picture and stop being a hypocrite
