Auratones trumpeter Marcel Reys played a special introduction to 'Hocus Pocus', facilitated by Thijs van Leer on flute, when he paid tribute to a musician friend, who was seriously ill. Emotional music indeed!

Thijs van Leer, his daughter Berenice and The Auratones, played to an appreciative audience, during the 'Palm Parkies' tour in Breda, The Netherlands.

The Auratones is an impressive band, with accomplished musicians, as well illustrated here.

Een toelichting op deze video;

Het ongerepeteerde intro is opgedragen aan mijn goede vriendin Regien die 3 weken later zou overlijden. Het was op verzoek van haar familie en ik ben blij dat ik het ondanks de emotie heb kunnen doen. Op zo'n moment zou je het mooiste willen spelen dat je ooit hebt gedaan, jammergenoeg lukte mij dat niet, maar gelukkig sleepte Thijs mij er doorheen...
