yes thats right a lot of people say that there engines are diesel but no because theres no injection pipe

this is not a diesel. It would need a fuel injection pump. it has a carb

If you would have read the other comments (above) you would have seen that I told already, these engines are just called "diesels". The engine has no injection pump, a very simple spray bar carb and it also needs a special fuel. BUT these engines are ignited by high compression - this is why they are called diesels. They do not need a glow or spark plug! Everyone who is familiar with this engine knows this.

Nice. Much quieter than 2 stroke glow engines. Are these difficult to start ? Can a 12 volt starter be used ? Thanks.

Hi,
yes these engines are very quiet and need no silencer. with some practice they are as easy to start as a glow engine. of course you can use an electric starter but it is easy to start with your finger. with your finger you also get better "feeling" for the engine, if you prime to much fuel the engine blocks - with your finger you feel this, a starter not and destroys the engine maybe. this is a very nice engine, its energy comes from torque not from high rpm. greets

All my engines are "model diesel engines" which require special fuel, also these engines do not have an injection pump as large "real diesels" have and in which the fuel is injected with high pressure, that sprays the fuel in very small drops. model diesels need a special fuel which consists of 30%diethyl ether, 30% kerosene, 30% castor oil. Ether is the ignitor, kerosene the combustible part and castor oil the lubricant. this special fuel is vaporized by a simple spray bar carburettor.
