Violence leads to countless girls being kept out of school, dropping out, or not fully participating in school life. Effects range from pain and fear, to lowered self-esteem, sexually transmitted infections, unwanted pregnancies and depression. In many cases, abuses go unreported.

What about girls in Third World countries? Like Pakistan? Schools for girls are bombed. Girls are forced to marry and raise a family as soon as they get their period. This has to stop, they have rights too.

what your saying is true but in other countries where woman are treated like second class citizens there problems are often not taken seriously. And in many of these countries boys do not have nearly as many problems in school as girls do. However if this video was addressed specifically to American schools I would see your point.

Violence in school is very big problem even in the United States. I have watched many beating in the US and nothing is done about it if the people being beaten are ¨low income¨ The violence should be stopped for all...not just girls!

This video is complete and utter bullshit. This video is demanding that girls be given more care and respect than boys. This video is disturbingly sexist. It says "all violence against girls should be stopped". Okay, so it's okay for there to be violence against boys? It also says "make sure that gov'ts and schools take it seriously and respond if any girl is attacked or abused". So it's not important to take it seriously if a boy is attacked or abused? The same things can happen to boys. SEXIST

Finally, if our government could pass into law some sort of measure where in unstable region can be modernized and secured using it's own economy. Theoretically, a new government has equity limited to the value of the resources of it's region, so any nation should be able to finance it's security and growth with help of the USA or UN. Then once they grow strong enough we step back at let them stand on their own.
