There was definitely a practice in ancient times of binding babies heads but as bikini1212 stated this was to "imitate" another race whom in those times were considered gods. The number of elongated, cone headed large skulls that cant be placed under the binding banner exhibiting characteristics not found in homo sapiens. two or single cranial bone plating in some cases double the thickness much stronger but lighter, larger eyes and jaws. interesting..and scary hah
