He was in one film before...which must have been where they say him. The casting crew invited people to audition for the main roles; they didn't have open auditions.

He is so lucky to have gotten such a large role straight out of film school.....so freaking lucky. He must have really made an impression at the auditions! He will always be Legolas to me...not Will Turner hahaha.
