Jónsi - Grow Till Tall - Live in Milwaukee 04/26/2010

This is a relatively horrible video, but I really don't think ANY video could have done this performance justice. This is "Grow Till Tall" by Jónsi (of Sigur Rós), live at the Pabst Theater in Milwaukee, WI on April 26th, 2010.

This was the finale. To give you a little backstory, the stage set seemed to evolve over the course of the show. There was a part where it looked as if the screen behind the band was on fire, burning away to reveal the structure you see in this video. Being that this was the final song Jónsi performed, it was only suitable that the entire thing looked like it was being destroyed at the end. The storm effects got so crazy, it really did look like it was raining on stage.

The end of the song was so loud and unruly that the puny little microphone on my iPhone could not handle it... thus, you hear just a garbled mess. Like I said, this video does not do the performance justice. Definitely one of the best shows I have ever seen (and I know I just said that about The Flaming Lips, but it's true... both shows were incredible).
