this could have been avoided 20 years after this crash COSTER had a crash in Cali caused by the same reason engineer using drugs and running a red light at an open switch. on the railroad red means STOP shut your engine down and wait this guy parked his power on AMTRAK property and caused a derailment it could have been avoided.

i love how Amtrak says they have record ridership? oh ya whens the last time they had 650 people on one train? 20-30yrs ago? i doubt more than 150 people ride any Amtrak train at any given time. even on the long distance trains barely have 200 on a train designed to handle 450

These are not parked Railroad Cars, they were 3 Conrail LOCOMOTIVES, the engineer ran a red signal, fouled the amtrak train. The engineer was under the influance of drugs
