  • @KoroshiyaMHX not just a tachi but a nodachi considering how long the blades are

  • with blade turned up is traditional blade turned down is used mostly for in english as the quick killing one slash

  • @InsaneGeraldo its basic knowledge that you don't use a lot of wrist action, you can damage your tendons easily, I know for a fact when I first started out i hurt my tendons, when you use a lot of wrist your grip can weaken, so you may make a faster cut (which you dont need to do if you cut correctly the blades weight will factor in enough speed) but the sword will fly out of your hand if it doesn't slice through

  • fwew, ive seen alot of hate on this guys vids, and th only one ive seen any actual reason 2 hate is this one, probably because of the blade up thing and the way u old the katana, but honestly the other vids are almost alright from what i've seen, all he needs 2 do to improve them is do his moves faster instead of slow-mo show-u-how sorta things because it doesnt look good

  • I think he was trying refer to the Showa era Shin Gunto

  • Carrying the blade up is a recent thing?! Since they were first produced in the Muromachi period, the katana has always been carried edge up. Tachi, on the other hand, are carried blade down. Also, your sword has no tsuba. And lastly, the katana is a cutting weapon; your wrists are for leverage and control. You don't just hack at your enemy and hope he falls down. You've discredited yourself quite a bit with this one video. By no means are you an "expert."

  • Jesus forgives you... but still...

  • Look out we have the internet genius's here.

  • you hold the katana to tight and your body is to tense and be more fluent whith move ment

  • @TheKingtut111 no, they use ninja-to when in their shozoku, because if they used a katan, the culd be identified by it later. The katana was the samurai's soul. A ninja-to is just a tool.
