Project Kaisei - Captain Wes - Ships Contribute to Plastic in the Ocean - The Garbage Patch

He was the Captain aboard the SEAPLEX cruise in August with chief scientist Miriam Goldstein and other scientists from Scripps. The SEAPLEX cruise from Scripps and Kaisei were two expeditions. Project Kaisei helped fund two expeditions out to the garbage patch to find solutions to the growing plastic problem facing the Ocean.
