Fujara is a traditional Slovakian flute. I'm making it out in bamboo in Argentina, with the experience of a similar instrument called moseño. It plays harmonics and has a particular sound, more at www.unmundodebambu.com.ar

  • I ´m from Slovakia, and sorry, but your style of playing isn´t to compare with classic Slovakian players... Your mouth pipe is abnormaly long... so this is not fujara, but some strange instrument.. And your playing is poor, you haven´t showed us also the easiest, basic typical melodical decoration, scattering, and which makes fujara so characteristic and powerful instrument... So why are you showing us this? Sorry :(

  • @halusky65 Sorry ME! is not my intention to ofend you or your tradition! Clearly I'm not a Slovakian player, just this instrument is a bamboo version and works in the same manner about the harmonics, so is called bamboo fujara -clearly no traditional. It obtains the notes from G in a major scale, and has 4 instead 3 holes.

  • Hola.

  • @bambuar: Ok ok I understand :) But with 3 holes it is instrument similiar to fujara :P Also, nice inturment, keep up good work :)

  • Hola!
