A documentary recorded from BBC2's Arena Radio Night in the Mid 1990's. Weekend Rush and Kool Fm were big targets of the DTI mainly because of the music they were playing was taking listeners away from the legal stations. In the Uk all the legal radio stations, still to this day, play the same main stream commercial junk we are all forced to think is good music............
The fact is theres no legal stations that cover hardcore`music, none cover Ragga etc. What do they expect people to do? change what they like?
Pirate DJs do this because they love music & being on the decks,it has NOTHNG to do with drugs. Some stations might get a few £ for advertising, it aint alot & it doesnt cover the loss of gear when they get raided & it definately doesnt cover vinyl. The media needs to cover these issues subjectively & without bias & its blatently obvious they dont.

It's funny how anything beyond the establishment's control is always percieved to be bad or associated with drugs. They say that so they can create a negative image in the minds of the people watching these reports, who will probably never get he chance to make up their own minds. I remember when hip hop first came over from the States and there were reports saying that it's a scientific fact that breakdancing damages your testicles! Sometimes I really wonder about the media.
