To be fair, it probably performed as well as anything British Leyland were "producing" in the 70s. In those days they'd struggle to make toast, let alone a car...
I wish you could show it side by side with an ad for a volkswagen from west germany... I mean I know they're hilariously crap cars but it was the 1960s... weren't all cars hilariously crap?
During 1989 to 1991, the last of the Trabant 601's had the 1.1L 4-stroke engine from the VW Polo put into them. They are few and far between these days.
