  • I know about 20 people who are jealous of his amazing talent :D

Seriously though, this man was an amazing trumpet player, not to mention he was one of the coolest. After his first few notes, he gives a little "Thats whats up" nod. The last thing he does is give a fist pump on the last note.

Thank you Maynard, you're the inspiration to my attempts to hit a double C. (I'm currently only getting a G.)

  • Awesome mullet dude

  • theres playing high notes and sure a lot of ppl can hit them buttttt maynard plays them in tune and well nuff said

  • @chskcsmith the mullet can shut the hell up

listen to MF's solo, thats melodic

this fucking mullet is a fucking ear sore

  • haha, he was trying a new birdland.

  • yay maynard! saw him live!

  • @snailzillascreator I don't listen to it! I heard it once and that was enough for me. Now I'm happy listening to the swinging and melodic bop players like Kenny Dorham, Fats Navarro, Clifford Brown, Booker Little to name a few. I'll let you into a little secret ;There's a guy called Freddie Hubbard he screams a little but man, can he swing the arse out of a tune- check him out thats if you don't already know him ;-)))))

  • @BashuUp Maynard Ferguson "insists" on playing so high because that's what he does. It's just this style, his niche. If you don't like it then don't listen to it. That's a major point of music isn't it, that different styles appeal to different people.
