Evangelical Universalism does teach that Jesus Christ is the only way to the Father. Abraham, Samuel, David etc. didn't know Jesus, but they're with the Father. And the way they got there, was ultimately through Jesus Christ.
@Mrdese33 Actually, they are human beings first. Which is the point he's trying to make. Perhaps instead of trying to discredit this man for speaking the truth, you people can say something positive about what he's doing.
The problem I have with Manning is he seems to say one thing in his book THE SIGNATURE OF JESUS about "radical discipleship" but the people he quotes the most in his book, Thomas Merton, Henri Nouwen, Alan Jones are universalists that do NOT believe that Jesus is the only way to God. Check it out.
Brennan Manning communicates the "REAL" Jesus, not the jesus that is conjured up by a subjective, non-biblical view. When we come to Christ on His terms and not ours, He is absolutely beautiful.
The real Christian message will become less diluted! Praise be to God for allowing us to live in a time where persecution will raise and darkness will increase!

Nice. Thanks for posting. Brennan was one of the first Christian authors I really got into, after I started following Jesus. He is very encouraging.

Brennan's perspective on Christ's audacious love for us really changed the way I think about God—and love.
