Hutsuly are highlanders and are proud people as all highlanders are. Beuatiful people, rich heritage they remind me of the Caucasus people

Ukrainians are the fine, cheerful and talented nation! Слава Україні!

wow, I'm from those places. I was raised not so far from Kolomiya, which I went to like every week. I'm from the village Yabluniv, Kosiv's district and I wonder if there are any clips of my Yabluniv but so far couldn't find any
Oops. . .sorry natlenka 72, I meant to hit the "reply" button but accidentally hit "Remove." So natalenka 72 wrote: "Wow! Women of three generations dancing Hutsulka! AWSOME! What's the name of the man? He's got excellent skills in dancing. Probably he should open a folk dance school or teach hutsul dances at some cultural events;)" I'll comment in the next post. . .

His name is Mykola Savchuk. He is a journalist and amateur folklorist; he has written a pamphlet (in Ukrainian) about the dance Hutsulka. He also is a "humoryst" or comedian with some degree of recognition in his part of Ukraine. He once did a comedy tour of Ukrainian diaspora communities in N America some yrs ago. He's a musician (accordion) who used to play in a wedding band, and he has a CD of very authentic Hutsul music he recorded. His home village of Velkyj Kljuchiv is near Kolomyja.
