I'm not from Britain so I don't really know how the political system works there but just say that if David Cameron had suddenly decided that reducing the RN was insanity, could he have ordered a stop to the decommissionings, on the grounds that it put UK in imminent risk, or something like that?
Just asking; what a drag that Britain's navy has been so badly hollowed out...
