  • All i know is as soon as the UN made the Mercs leave the genocide started up again. If they were allowed to stay things would of been different. Maybe Rwanda would have a few more tutsi today. All the UN could do is cut and run.

  • @speedcoregewalt Yes, the ISBN number is "978-1-58160-639-3

  • @speedcoregewalt

KMA is the officers school. Korps commando is the green berets.

  • @Fred5612 can you tell me the title, author and isbn number plz? by the way, my father WAS NOT a mercenary. He was a docter, send there for humanitarian aid. He was also a green beret, because he went to the KMA (Dutch equivalent of West Point Military Academy) were in those days, you always got trained as a green beret the first year you were there. He did see action in Ghana, Front Line Medic: children with over 50 machete cuts on their body, chronic shortage of morphine, rape, burning flesh

  • @speedcoregewalt I am reading a book about Congo mercenaries, many trained and untrained personnel joined in those frays, usually the trained individuals (like your dad) either survived longer and/or were given more respectable positions.

  • @Fred5612 Aaaaah, good old proxy wars. My father was in Ghana during the Rawlings era, not as a merc but as a medic/doctor with an NGO. But he said his training as a Green Beret came in handy (surgery in the trenches under fire from mortar strikes)

  • @gnarkillkicksass whats the title and isbn number?

  • @samgillispwnage Some English and Italians in there as well.

  • This video was made to be in black and white and the ruined film effects were added in post-production. The original is in full color and it is from a documentary called "Africa Addio".

  • @XProductions92 The mercenaries in this video are fighting on the side of Tshombes government of Congo during the Simba rebellion. They were captained by Colonel Mike Hoare and supported by NATO, which gave them planes, weapons, boats etc. They are fighting against the Simba rebels, communist insurgents supported by Che Guevara and his fellows. After a successfull military campaign these mercenaries won this side of the conflict.
