@molonlave2010 wrong. that's a pentagram. it's a pagan symbol. first of all it predates satan. and 2nd, it has nothing to do with evil. the 5 lower stars represent earth air fire and water. the top point is spirit. and inverted one with spirit on the bottom can sometimes be used by satanists. but it wasn't invented by them and originally just represents an alternative pagan philosophy.

This guy gets kindof annoying with his constant freak outs about things that don't even matter. we get it. the plot doesn't make sense. who the fuck cares? it's a nes game. does he have to give a little mini rant at every cut scene? it's not that important. also, it's so fake because he even admits he's played through them before. so why does he act like it's his first time seeing these plot developments? I'd rather he just not talk during cut scenes.

The way I see it, "the spirit that was a pawn" was the Jaquio from Ninja Gaiden 1, and Ashtar was like the secratary of Jaquio and was planning to take Jaquio's spot should he have died, which Ashtar never found out that Jaquio was resurected. But, like I said, that's just how it is in my eyes, and you can argue all you want!
