"Even Though" from I Love You Because

This spring I was in the student-run production of "I Love You Because", starring a very fun and tight 8-person cast. I played Marcy, who sings this song to Austin, who she loves but loves for the wrong reasons. This show was a blessing to work on and some of the most fun I've had in my life! Here's a rehearsal recording of "Even Though". I hope you enjoy! :)

P.P.S. The reason I sang "taller" instead of "paler" was because our Austin was QUITE tan lol!

Our group paid for the rights for the show so we all got the music, but we singers didn't get the piano music which kind of sucked. I can't distribute it, but hopefully Salzman and Cunningham will sell it at some point!

I think the lyrics are meant to mean pail as in 'you pail in comparison', I don't think it has anything to do with skin colour haha, but that might just be how I interpret it

Amazing singing though, I had to play the piano for some of the people doing this at my university, it's a really addictive song

I am so impressed with the singing here because it's such a hard song! It's a shame the pianist didn't quite get to grips with it though. No disrespect, because it's very 'rubatoey' so it's hard, but the piano just didn't pull it off.
