Alexander III of Macedon

Alexander was the son of Macedonian King Phillip II. Since his childhood Homer's heroic poems were favourite books of the heir of throne. And Alexander considered Achilles, the hero of the Trojan War, and mythical athlete Hercules as his idols.
The huge power, which he created, appeared to be unstable and was divided by his military leaders. But the Greek culture distributed in Mesopotamia, Iran, Syria, Judea and Egypt. Alexander the Great from Macedonia brought together the civilizations of Greece and Middle East and started the period known as the Hellenic Age.

  • the greatest GREEK ever lived..!!!

  • OK guys, lets make it clear! Nobody has right to deny to the people of FYROM , excistance as separate nation....Thats fine.......but.......they (fyr macedonians) have to stop claiming any history before WW2, as their history...This young nation was created by yugoslav communists for number of political reasons. However, they have place in the Global world puzzle and I think they deserve it.....About the name dispute? According to me, Northern Macedonia is good decision.

  • Alexsandar the great from Macedonia you heard that in this video!

  • fuck you, Alexsandar is pure macedonian,i dont see you have that name in your fucking country, why none of your children has the name Alexsandar!

  • FYROM's are slavs and have nothing to do with this great man. Alexander fought greeks and there is no sense thinking he was greek. Both Olympia as well as Philip II had illyric roots (parents), therefore considering that albanians are the only illyric descendents, Alexander the Great was Albanian.

  • ppl from FYROM have to read history. Alexander was GREEK!!! like it or not

  • @YamiBarai21
