Perhentian Island, Malaysia - Next Destination

Thanks to new features on youtube, I don't even have to get my camera out to make videos anymore!

I envisioned this day, when the process of making videos would become automated. When all you need is a keyboard and something to say!

But is does lack a certain human touch. I think I prefer reading the emotions on a real human face.

My laptop is back from repairs and the show goes on! I'm off to the East Coast of Malaysia to visit a tropical island paradise called Perhentian Island. Looking forward to doing some snorkelling and testing my new waterproof camera case.

Hey Mark...thats pretty weird !! How is the camera going? I'm just about to make a decision on what brand of cemera I am going to up grade too...how do you find the work flow with the canon?...can you drag and drop clips directely into FCP without transcoding??..Cheers Pete

@nzvideo Hold back till Nov 3rd. Canon is making a big announcement. The word on the net is that it could be a 4K S35 Video Camera. With the new version of FCP X should be able to import canon mxf files directly soon. At the moment I use fcp 7 to do this.

I have a hunch that computer animation is still in its infancy. Should be interesting to see what happens in the next 20 -50 years. Cheers!
