1976, would have Lee majors working on one of the best episodes of the Six Million Dollar Man. I've said it once and will say it again, this is the period of time when the bionic effects as well as the music and sound effects associated with the trick photography had reached its pinnacle of success. Majors of course just could not have looked better and was a huge sex symbol at the time. The series' success was bent on the fact that Majors fit the starring role to a "tee"; so much in fact that his trademark "lifting of the left eyebrow" was copied by a whole lot of men which signaled a sort of 70's iconic trademark to match! Vincent Van Patten of course went on to do some Hollywood movies, but will forever be known as the young bionic boy. As a boy of the 70's, this TV movie will always have a special meaning for me - that being that if we can dream something as great as science being depicted here and make it reality as it is becoming so, just think what the human being could really do ...
