Whodini, from Brooklyn, New York, consisted of Jalil Hutchins, John 'Ecstasy' Fletcher (known for sporting the Zorro-like hat), and DJ Drew 'Grandmaster Dee' Carter. Whodini made its name with good-humored records like 'Funky Beat','Five Minutes Of Funk','Big Mouth', 'I'm A Ho', 'One Love, and 'Freaks Come Out at Night'. Their live shows were the first to feature dancers (U.T.F.O. members: Doctor Ice and Kangol Kid). Following their 1987 album Open Sesame, Whodini went on hiatus. The group attempted a comeback in 1991 with the album, Bag-a-Trix, without much success, despite receiving their due as rap innovators. Five years later, Whodini returned with their sixth album, Six in 1996. The group reunited at the BET Hip Hop Awards in 2007.
