  • Chris installed Microsoft office on his mac for the fonts, however, on various occasions, he complains about the fonts for windows. He's said it is one of microsoft's biggest mistakes, I don't get it.

  • Wasn't Microsoft fault he said he had wrong permissions at the end so stop blaming Microsoft office.

  • @Darthvies im a novice... what is kernel panic and how do you avoid it (im vista 64 bit and i know people say "vista boo" but ive never had a BSOD and ive done everything i wanted to on it except i havent tried P2P and alot of compatibility issues like with MUGEN)

  • @Randalllind microsoft software shouldn't have done this in the first place if they were good developers.

  • I have been using Linux for about 3 years now and I have only had kernel panic once and that was due to bad hardware. Unix is just more stable. Ask Mac OS X users how many time they have had it and I bet it will be like 1 or 0. When I was on Windows I had BSOD all the time. Windows has the largest market share meaning more people are buying a fundamentally unstable OS which equates to more BSOD in the world. Does not matter if it is Mac OS X or Linux..get on Unix now to save yourself from BSOD

  • @M0U53Y you just powned chris... because what your saying is...: BSOD makes a last effort( i had one when my cpu overheated) but Kernel panic means its too late and chris was just lucky...

  • A Kernel Panic is a hard stop, A BSOD is a debug screen. 9/10 A Kernel Panic is the result of an irrepairable error, Windows reverts to it's last stable state after a BSOD, OS X just reboots with it's fingers crossed.

  • @chris pirillo

okay i was bsoded 3 times and it fixed its self each time and all i had todo was uninstall my webcam

  • It finished printing the print job.... probably because it finished spooling to the printer before it crashed.

  • Last time i checked , windows has boot recovery and image restore and system restore

  • Yup, its Microsoft's fault. When you have no one else to blame, just blame Microsoft. Is it just me, or do ALL Mac users blame all their problems on Microsoft?
