@rudegirlgt Speaking of "under trained" that is one reason why I dumped my old Tracfone account. Too many over seas call centers in which the techs could not help me resolve most tech problems and I could NOT understand their accent. When I complained people started to accuse me of being racist. Which was not true. The simple fact was who ever taught these people English did a crap-o job. I had one guy tell me his English was as good as mine even though 60% of it was gibberish.

@davidsawyervlog That is pretty crappy. Same deal with the Vonage gig almost. It was a technical support position but in all actuality you had to do everything. Was a major pain when they closed the LNP department and implemented a crappy ticketing system with db's on the other end who didn't care either. "Engineers". Pfft! Anyhow, VoIP really is great tech but there are too many environmental factors that can make it suck. Primarily under trained co-workers and ISPs LoL

@davidsawyervlog PS anyway I answered an ad for a job for a place called North East Research in Orono Maine. They offered me NOTHING that was actually in the job description nor on my resume. Instead of doing "real" research they would call people up on the phone and do cheesy phone surveys in which most the time people gave incorrect data and or lied to us for fun. Then this scam company would sell the data to professors writing books knowing full well this was not right.

@rudegirlgt That reminds me. I hate it when you apply for a job you read about in the paper or online and it turns out to be in a call center. For example I did actual "real" office work a while back. The ads would read: "Office staff needed for general office work. Typing, Faxing, Filing, Answering phones". However they'd want me to do telemarketing or some sort of phone service and that we "earned" our way up to office type work. see ps....

@davidsawyervlog Very true. I used to work for them. It was pretty horrible. Stupid policies, stupid co-workers, stupid customers. I hope to god I never have to work in a call center again. Most businesses have no integrity or honor. And so far as call centers go, they can send all of those jobs overseas. It is hardly a notch above prostitution. I could go on for pages about this crap but I am sure it wouldn't be anything you didn't already know.

@rudegirlgt 90% of the time most businesses don't honor their rebates and just give you the run around anyway, and/or they don't give you the full amount. Not all businesses scam people out of the rebate but most the time I don't find them worth sending in.

Their commercials are ANNOYING! With that "Wooo Hooo Hooo" that they sing. That is why I don't use Vonage. Their commercials make them seem immature and untrustworthy.
